About MITE

The Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE), organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), is a professional exhibition of international tourism and an exhibition of tourism product consumption. Since its establishment in 2013, the MITE has been adhering to the concept of "Experiencing Macao", enhancing its role as a platform, and improving its service standards. Up to today, it is one of the most professional, widely-participated and influential international tourism events.

MITE in 2021 garnered accreditation from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) as an "UFI Approved International Event". The recognition reveals to the world the event's international influence, professionalism and positive impact on fostering interchange across the global tourism industry. MITE had strengthened the combination of "Cloud" series and offline exhibition to meet the need of exhibitors to explore the "Tourism+" and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area "multi-stop" tourist source market, to build an efficient bridge for communication and cooperation, to promote the joint development of tourism and other industries to boost the recovery of the tourism economy.

The 10 th MITE in 2022 will utilise the strengths of business matching (B2B) and on-site sales to consumers (B2C) dual platforms, and further deepen the combination of "Cloud" series and offline exhibition to promote cross-border and diversified cooperation in areas such as: conference and exhibitions, e-commerce, cultural and creative industries, gastronomy and weddings etc., it will also promote the precise connection of travel industrial resources between cities in the "Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area" and other inter-provincial cities, to inject a steady stream of endogenous power into the development of tourism economy.
